RocketReach vs Apollo. I tested email accuracy on 1000 contacts
robdata · 2026-01-23 · 1,680 views
Pulled the same 1,000 B2B contacts from both RocketReach and Apollo to compare email accuracy.
Apollo: Found emails for 847/1000 (84.7% coverage). Of those, 91% valid after triple verification. Net: 770 usable emails.
RocketReach: Found emails for 812/1000 (81.2% coverage). Of those, 87% valid. Net: 706 usable emails.
Apollo delivered 9% more usable emails at roughly half the cost of RocketReach. Apollo also gives you more filters, basic sequencing, and a generous free tier.
Unless you need specific data points that only RocketReach provides, Apollo is the better value for cold email lead generation data.

Apollo at half the cost with 9% more usable emails is a clear winner. I've been using Apollo for 2 years and the data quality has only gotten better. the free tier is great for getting started too

one thing to note — always triple verify emails from ANY data provider before sending. NeverBounce or ZeroBounce on top of Apollo's built-in verification. keeps your bounce rate under 2%
