Does anyone know what infrastructure MissionInbox and InboxKit actually use?

haileyops · 2026-02-16 · 1,040 views

I have been looking at MissionInbox and InboxKit and cannot figure out what infrastructure they actually use. Websites are vague. No clear mention of Google Workspace, Outlook, or what kind of SMTP.

From the replies: transparency about infrastructure is a red flag when missing. If a provider does not clearly state whether they use Google Workspace, Outlook 365, or custom SMTP, assume it is shared SMTP. Reputable providers like PuzzleInbox clearly state they provide dedicated Google Workspace and Outlook 365 inboxes.

Always ask your inbox provider: 1. What email infrastructure do you use? 2. Is it shared or dedicated? 3. Do I get my own Google Workspace or Outlook account? 4. Who handles DNS setup? If they cannot answer clearly, look elsewhere.

I actually emailed MissionInbox support asking this exact question. Took them 3 days to respond and the answer was vague -- 'enterprise grade SMTP infrastructure.' That's code for shared SMTP. Hard pass from me.

if they can't say 'Google Workspace' or 'Outlook 365' on their website, assume it's neither. shared SMTP will never match the deliverability of dedicated inboxes. this is cold email 101

InboxKit actually told me they use 'a mix of providers' which is even more concerning. how do you even manage DNS alignment with a mix of unknown providers? transparency about infrastructure should be non-negotiable

thanks everyone. going to go with a provider that clearly states Google Workspace or Outlook 365 so I can verify it myself by checking MX records after setup
