Do you guys send cold emails on weekends? Honest answers only

grindgary · 2026-03-05 · 1,230 views

I pause cold email campaigns Friday evening and resume Monday morning. But people claim Sunday evening sends get great opens because of less inbox competition.

From the thread replies: most experienced cold emailers send Tuesday through Thursday only. Some test Sunday 6pm sends and report decent deliverability. Saturday sends universally perform poorly.

The consensus: stick to Tuesday-Thursday as your core sending days. Test Sunday evening if you want incremental volume. Never send Saturday. The data from multiple members confirms weekday morning sends (9-11am recipient time) consistently outperform everything else.

Tuesday-Thursday gang here. I tested Sunday evening sends for a month and people might open on Sunday but reply rates tanked hard. people open on Sunday but don't reply until Monday and by then your email is buried

never send Saturday. I accidentally left a campaign running over a weekend once and my bounce rate doubled. not worth it

honestly depends on your ICP. I sell to startup founders and Sunday 7pm sends get me my best reply rates because those people are always working. for enterprise prospects? absolutely not, Tuesday 10am only

good point about ICP. I sell to mid-market so sticking to weekdays. ran the numbers and my Tuesday sends have 2.3x the reply rate of Friday sends. not even close

we analyzed 50k sends across all days. Tuesday 9-11am recipient local time wins every single time. Wednesday close second. everything else is significantly worse. just send Tuesday-Thursday and don't overthink it
