The numbers were close. Instantly edged out Smartlead slightly on deliverability, which we attribute to their larger warmup network creating more positive engagement signals. But the gap is small enough that your infrastructure quality matters far more than which platform you pick. Functionally, they are almost identical for sending. The day-to-day experience of building sequences, uploading leads, and managing replies feels similar. Instantly's UI is a bit cleaner and faster to navigate. Smartlead's interface has more options visible at once, which some people prefer and others find cluttered.

Instantly is cheaper on the base plan. Smartlead includes more agency-specific features in their Pro tier. The total cost difference is usually $15-40/month depending on which add-ons you actually use.

Lead Database: Instantly's Big Bet
